The Good Energy Club?????
Three kids in a year and a half.
Then a global pandemic.
Three days a week I was SAHM-ing.
Two days a week I was trying to grow my coaching business.
Then came the weekend — with no rest or relaxation — just more parenting, parks, and panting as I sprinted around the house taking small objects out of the mouths of babes.
I didn’t notice it at first.
But the spark I thought I was born with slowly drained from me.
My typical upbeat, excited, happy personality started to fade.
I was tired.
I was grumpy.
I was out-touched and annoyed with everyone.
This would be a struggle for anyone.
But for me it was something else.
I thought I was a happy-go-lucky personality person. I thought I was different — built for fun and joy.
So… what. the. heck?
If I could lose my spark — my edge — what hope was there for everyone else?
That question sent me down a path of research, study, and deep learning about joy, happiness, and good energy.
And what I discovered changed the way I saw the world, other people, and myself.
I learned that good energy isn’t a personality trait you’re born with.
It’s a practice.
Which means anyone — the analytical, the high-achievers, the introverted — can build good energy when they need it.
And we all need it sometimes, don’t we?
Even when the world feels like it’s burning around us.
When our best intentions still leave us with a flat tire and spilled coffee.
When a day opens not with hope and promise, but pitfalls and loneliness.
You still need to show up well.
For the job interview.
To meet your boyfriend’s parents.
To be kind to your neighbors.
Good energy is an attitude.
It’s a mood.
And — maybe, if we let ourselves be a little woo-woo — it’s a vibe.
It’s showing up with presence.
It’s smiling.
It’s leading with lightness.
This is not fake-it-til-you-make-it.
It’s not toxic positivity wrapped in a fun name.
It’s the empowering truth that you are not powerless in your day.
There are simple things you can do to turn on your good energy when you need it.
Because let’s face it:
Some days the world feels out to get you.
Some days you just wake up feeling blah.
Whether you want to become a good-energy person who makes everyday life better — or you simply need to turn it on today because something big is at stake — The Good Energy Club™ practices are for you.
I’m a facilitator, coach, and speaker, so one of the first things I did with this information — besides transforming my own days — was build a keynote around it.
I wanted to scream it from the rooftops:
None of us are destined to live in gloom and doom.
We can practice good energy habits.
And we can benefit from the resulting joy, happiness, and contagious energy.
The life you dream of — that new job, that revitalized relationship, that invitation to the big event — is on the other side of your energy.
When you change your energy, you change your outcomes.
I’ve been perfecting this keynote for three years and delivering it a couple times a year.
But when I tell people about The Good Energy Club™, they always ask the same question:
“How do I join?”
This space is my answer.
I want to create a place where like-minded people come together to support each other in the pursuit of good energy.
A place to share what I’ve learned.
A place to practice together.
A place where we inspire one another and show up for each other.
I will never be a politician. And sometimes when I look at my phone and see everything happening in the world, I feel helpless.
But I’ve decided this will be my contribution.
If I can help people unlock the key to building their own good energy… maybe, just maybe, we can add a little more lightness to this world.
One person at a time.
One smile.
One laugh.
One encouraging look.
Maybe that’s enough.
So…
